Elementary school outdoor learning and play landscape
LandCurrent designed an elementary school yard in Ottawa. The students participated in the design by drawing their dream play spaces, while parents and school staff drew their favorite designs during a weekend workshop. Ottawa has long snowy winters therefore LandCurrent included tall elements that stick out above the snow, sliding hills, and a snow hockey field. In addition, LandCurrent developed a unique wigwam village with climbing structures. Over eighty parents and children planted both yards in September 2013.
